WHAT DID AL QANA NEED?

Central cooling plant for the efficient production of chilled water to provide the cooling requirements of multiple buildings and consumers through a network of pipes.

The most important achievement of this project:

  • Use of sea water pass through flow for heat rejection. ZERO water is consumed.
  • Elimination of the equipment on the roof. No cooling towers and no radiators.
  • Elimination of the visual impact of those equipment and the cooling towers plume.
  • Use of full titanium heat exchangers to ensure long equipment life and reliability while minimizing the maintenance.
  • Installation of a high efficient filtration system and anti-biofouling system to avoid the growth of living organism into the network
